"Totoro no Mori & Kurosuke no Ie Guided Tour: Firefly Observation & Night Forest" is a special guided tour set in the natural surroundings of "Kurosuke no Ie," managed by the Totoro no Furusato Foundation. Held approximately once a month, this is a rare opportunity to observe the glowing light of fireflies in the night forest. This tour is part of the foundation's efforts to promote environmental conservation and deepen understanding of nature.
The greatest charm is observing the beautiful dance of fireflies in the darkness of the night. Guided through the forest, you will experience a different side of nature than during the day, feeling the deep mystery of the woods. The location is near "Kurosuke no Ie," a Registered Tangible Cultural Property, where you can learn about the Satoyama culture and the efforts to preserve the natural environment that inspired the world of Totoro. A truly enchanting experience of silence and light awaits.
This event is held limitedly, approximately once a month on specific dates. Please check the official website's "Reservation Calendar" for specific dates and times. As this is a night event, please confirm the exact start and end times via the calendar when booking. The tour duration is expected to be approximately 1.5 hours.
