The venue is the area centered around Tenkawataibenzaiten Shrine. This shrine is known as an incredibly mystical and beautiful location. Regarding access, public transportation can be limited, so we strongly recommend checking your route in advance. Traveling by car or bus while enjoying the scenic, nature-rich landscapes is the most common way to reach the area. The journey through the surrounding nature is part of the experience.
To make the most of the Tanabata Festival, try to embrace the Japanese culture of "making a wish." Writing your wishes on a paper strip will make your experience much more meaningful. As the festival is a very soulful and emotional event, please maintain a respectful and quiet demeanor toward the surroundings and other visitors. Since the event is held in nature, please come prepared for the outdoor environment.
As the event is held in a nature-rich area, please wear comfortable walking shoes and easy-to-move-in clothing. Since this is a summer event, we recommend bringing a hat, a folding fan, and plenty of water to prevent heatstroke. You may also need writing utensils to write your wishes on the paper strips.
Cash is essential for purchasing food, drinks, or charms (ofuda/amulets) on-site. Credit cards and electronic money may not be accepted, so please ensure you carry enough Japanese Yen.
