Enjoy a day trip through the scenic landscapes of the Higashi-Shirakawa area in Southern Fukushima. This tour uses the JR Suigun Line to connect travelers with the region's rich nature and culture. The program is specifically designed for elementary school students and their guardians, focusing on hands-on learning and outdoor experiences.

Next, dive into local food culture with a hands-on pizza making session at Shikisaina Kobo. Enjoying your freshly baked pizza is a memory your children will cherish. Finally, explore local specialties and souvenirs at the Michi-no-Eki Hanawa roadside station.

Schedule

Participants will board the JR Suigun Line at various stations to meet at Iwaki Hanawa Station.

  • 08:32: Arrive at Iwaki Hanawa Station
  • 09:00–10:00: Eryuda Falls (Nature exploration and sightseeing)
  • 10:30–14:30: Shikisaina Kobo (Pizza making and lunch)
  • 14:45–15:30: Michi-no-Eki Hanawa (Shopping and rest)
  • 16:06: Depart Iwaki Hanawa Station (Return via JR Suigun Line)

Participation requires traveling via the JR Suigun Line.

  • Meeting/Dismissal: Meet at and depart from Iwaki Hanawa Station.

Participation Details

This is a specialized experiential tour to deeply connect with Southern Fukushima. Beyond sightseeing, you will engage in activities like pizza making and nature walks. The tour is intended for elementary school students and their guardians. As the journey involves the JR Suigun Line, it is also a wonderful way to enjoy a scenic train ride.

What to Bring and Wear

We recommend comfortable clothing suitable for walking in nature and participating in hands-on activities. Since you will be making pizza, wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty.
