"Shochu Tourism Kagoshima 2026" is a special project designed to let you experience this profound culture through all five senses.
During this event, you can visit distilleries that are rarely open to the public to learn about their production processes and history. Through interaction with the local landscapes and people, you will feel the stories behind every glass. Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse yourself in the deep charm of Kagnesia.
The greatest appeal of this event is the chance to experience the "terroir" of Kagoshima firsthand. Brewery tours allow you to see traditional methods and modern technology up close, connecting you with the passion of the craftsmen. By learning the unique flavors and aromas characteristic of different regions, your understanding of Shochu will deepen.
To ensure smooth travel, a circular shuttle bus will operate during the event period. This bus allows you to efficiently visit multiple areas and distilleries while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Kagoshima. It is a journey to find your very own "special bottle."

The event takes place across various areas in Kagoshima, primarily in the Nakasatsuma region. Rather than a single fixed venue, the field extends to various local distilleries and surrounding areas.
Transportation is provided via a dedicated circular shuttle bus designed for efficient travel between distilleries and sightseeing spots. You can check the bus routes, timetables, and area guide maps via the "District Guide Map & Bus Timetable" provided upon registration.
Preparation is key to fully enjoying the world of Shochu. We recommend deciding on a "travel theme"—such as a specific type of Shochu you want to taste or a certain landscape you wish to see—to make your experience more meaningful.
