Shinji Yabusame is a highly significant ritual performed at Miyazaki Jingu as part of the celebrations for Emperor Jimmu. The sight of horsemen dressed in Kamakura-period warrior attire, galloping through the shrine grounds while firing large bows, is as beautiful and powerful as a living painting. Schedule

The ceremony follows a strict ritual process. Below is the general flow:
