Event Overview

The Ryugado Cave Festival is a special celebration held at Ryugado Cave, a designated National Natural Monument in Kami City, Kochi Prefecture. This unique event blends the mysterious atmosphere of the cave with a vibrant night of fireworks and a lively beer garden.

Highlights

The biggest draw is the special access to Ryugado Cave. Starting at 6:00 PM, the cave entrance is free of charge, allowing you to experience the breathtaking, illuminated scenery up close. The event also features live band performances and a festive atmosphere. The climax of the night is a spectacular fireworks display of approximately 200 shells, including large 4-go shells, creating a magical scene against the cave backdrop.

Venue & Access

The venue is the Ryugado Cave parking lot. To reach the site, take a bus bound for "Ryugado" from JR Tosayamada Station; the ride takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the "Ryugado" stop.

Tips for Visitors

While the cave is a mystical space, please be careful as it is a nighttime event and paths may be dark. The evening includes a beer garden and live music. We recommend arriving early to enjoy the full sequence of events from the music to the grand finale fireworks.

What to Bring & Etiquette
