Roma Saga Training Dojo (Arita: Decal Art Workshop)
6 min readEvent Overview
As part of the 'Roma Saga Training Dojo'—a special project dedicated to preserving and sharing the traditional craftsmanship of Saga Prefecture—Arita Town hosts this unique 'Decal Art' workshop. This event allows you to experience both traditional Arita-yaki (Arita porcelain) techniques and modern design methods. By using pixel-art decal sheets, even beginners can easily create high-quality, sophisticated ceramic designs.
Highlights & How to Enjoy
The biggest draw is the incredible variety: choose from 141 different pixel-art decal designs! You can apply up to five decals to your chosen piece and further customize it with hand-painted overglaze colors. Whether you choose a mug, a 5-sun plate, or a 3-sun plate, you can create a truly personalized piece of 'Roma Saga' memorabilia. It is a wonderful way to spend a creative hour while connecting with traditional Japanese pottery techniques.
