Hosted at the Yamanashi Prefectural Science Center, the 'Robot & Programming Workshop: Switch Car with LEGO EV3' offers practical learning using the world-renowned LEGO Technic 'LEGO EV3' set. Beyond just building, participants will experience the excitement of controlling a robot through code. This workshop provides high educational value, teaching both scientific thinking and the fundamentals of programming.
The greatest thrill is seeing the code you wrote come to life as a functioning 'Switch Car.' Using professional-grade LEGO EV3 kits, you can master precise movements and sensor-based controls. Successfully running your programmed car exactly as designed provides a sense of achievement that stimulates both creativity and logical thinking in an immersive learning environment.

This is an advanced program designed for participants from Grade 3 (elementary school) through adults. To ensure a quality experience, children below Grade 3 are not eligible to participate, even when accompanied by a guardian. This workshop is ideal for children wanting to learn coding basics and adults interested in exploring new technological skills.
Participation is handled via a same-day ticket system. Please prepare cash for payment. Please check with the staff on-site regarding credit card availability.
The program is primarily conducted in Japanese. English support is limited; we recommend preparing in advance to ensure you can follow the instructions and technical procedures smoothly.
This is a same-day ticket system. The target age is Grade 3 (elementary school) and above; preschool-aged children are not eligible to participate. Please note that the museum entrance fee is required separately from the workshop fee.
