Event Overview

Narita POP Run is a community-rooted marathon held in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture. The 2025 event features two categories: 10km and 3km, with an expected turnout of 2,000 to 3,000 participants. It is a wonderful opportunity to feel the local energy while running through beautiful Japanese streetscapes.

Highlights & How to Enjoy

The highlight of this event is the chance to run through the actual streets of Narita. The 10km course is ideal for those looking for a serious run, while the 3km course is perfect for a wide range of participants, including students and beginners. On the day of the event, traffic regulations will be in place to ensure a safe and focused running environment. Additionally, a food and beverage area is expected to be set up around the venue, Jubei Sports Field Nakadai, allowing you to enjoy some local flavors after your run.

  • *3km (Junior High & General)**: 9:30 AM
  • *3km (Elementary School & Open)**: 9:35 AM
  • *10km**: 9:50 AM

The main venue, start, and finish line are located at Jubei Sports Field Nakadai (in front of the gymnasium).

Traffic restrictions will be in effect around the course from approximately 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. This includes full closures or single-lane restrictions near the Narita Police Station bus stop, Gakuen Higashi-dori, and the Nakadai area. Please check the traffic regulation map in advance and follow the instructions of police officers and event staff.

Participant Tips

Preparation is key for a great run. Water stations will be located at various points (including Narita Tax Office, Mudai Elementary, Chuo Kominkan, Nakadai Elementary, Narita Yukawa Station area, etc.). Please check your route in advance and pace yourself according to your fitness level.

What to Bring, Clothing & Etiquette

Please wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes suitable for changing weather.
