"Art Museum Expedition: Adult Edition" is a dialogue-based appreciation program held at the Nagano Prefectural Art Museum, designed for junior high school students and adults. Rather than just observing works, participants will "explore" the space—from the exhibition rooms to the museum's architecture and the surrounding outdoor areas—while engaging in free-flowing conversation with others. Through communication, you will discover new facets of the artworks and the mysteries of the museum space that might be missed when viewing alone.
The essence of this program lies in stimulating your senses through dialogue. Using the special exhibition "Forest of Living Things" as a theme, you will progress through the viewing experience by sharing feelings and questions about the works. The exploration extends beyond the exhibition rooms to the museum's architecture and the outdoor spaces. Walking and talking with others will help you experience shifts in perspective and unexpected discoveries. This is a deep, contemplative experience tailored for adults, where art is felt and experienced through interaction.
