Event Overview

Located at the World Heritage site Motsuji in Hiraizumi, Iwate Prefecture, the Motsuji Hagi Matsuri is a beautiful autumn event held from late September to mid-October. The temple's Pure Land Garden is transformed by approximately 500 plants of three varieties of bush clover (Miyagino-hagi, Shirobana-hagi, and Yamahagi), creating a vibrant landscape of color. Visitors can enjoy the mystical scenery where historical architecture meets seasonal blooms.
