Event Overview

Forest Halloween Night at Musashi Kyuryo National Government Park is a seasonal event where you can enjoy light art amidst nature. Approximately 550,000 lights and colorful illuminations transform the forest into a dreamlike setting. With Halloween-themed sculptures and art pieces on display, it is a perfect way to escape the everyday and enjoy a special night out.

The main attraction is the overwhelming scale of the light displays covering the vast grounds. The combination of illuminated trees and Halloween-themed art creates a mystical atmosphere. The event takes place on the following dates (weekends and holidays only):

Lights are turned on from 17:00 to 20:30. While the park's standard hours are 9:30–20:30, please note that during this event, entry is only permitted through the Central Entrance.

Venue & Access

The event is held in the "Central Entrance to Botanical Garden Area" of Musashi Kyuryo National Government Park.

By Public Transport

  • *From Shinrin Koen Station (Tobu Tojo Line)**: Take the Kawagoe Kanko Bus (Route SN-01) and get off at the "Shinrin Koen Minami-guchi" stop.
  • *From Kumagaya Station (JR Takasaki Line/Joetsu Shinkansen/Hokuriku Shinkansen)**: Take the Kokusai Juo Bus and get off at "Shinrin Koen Nishi-guchi" or "Shinrin Koen Minami-guchi Iriguchi."

By Car

  • Approximately 10 minutes from the Higashi-Matsuyama IC on the Kan-etsu Expressway. Please use the available paid parking lots.

Important Notes

Entry is restricted to the Central Entrance only. As the event takes place in the dark, please prepare for low-light conditions. The event may be canceled in case of rain, so we recommend checking the latest information before your visit.

What to Bring & Etiquette

As this is an outdoor night event, please dress warmly to stay comfortable. Be mindful of your footing when walking through the park at night. For admission fees and reservation requirements, please check the official website.
