"Make Your Own Unique Ocarina!" is a hands-on workshop held at Shimanto Pia in Shimanto, Kochi. This is a creative opportunity to shape a beautiful ocarina with your own hands. The process of crafting this melodic instrument provides a deeply rewarding and artistic experience, resulting in a one-of-a-kind treasure that is yours alone.

The greatest charm of this event lies in the "monozukuri" (craftsmanship) process itself—not just receiving a finished product, but shaping the material into form. As you work on the unique shape of the ocarina and consider the placement of the finger holes and the resonance of the sound, your understanding of the instrument will deepen. The moment you hear the first notes from the instrument you built yourself is truly magical. This activity is enjoyable for everyone, from children to adults.

This event will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026. There are two sessions available:

• Session 1: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
• Session 2: 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
