Guide
Located in the Sayama Hills of Tokorozawa, Saitama, "Kurosuke Club" at Kurosuke-no-Ie is a program designed for families to deepen their connection with nature near the famous 'Totoro Forest.' The theme for July 25, 2026, is "Bamboo Water Gun Making." Participants will use bamboo harvested from the surrounding area to craft their own water guns. Once finished, you can enjoy playing with cool well water, experiencing the essence of a Japanese summer.
The main attraction is the hands-on experience of using bamboo, a natural material found nearby. Rather than using pre-made toys, you will start by actually cutting the bamboo and transforming it into a water gun. Playing with the finished product in the refreshing well water offers a unique, nostalgic experience. You can also learn about environmental conservation and observe local insects and flowers.
The event takes place on Saturday, July 25, 2026. To prevent heatstroke, the program is held during the morning only.
The venue is Kurosuke-no-Ie. Please note that there is no on-site parking. Please use public transportation or nearby coin parking.
