Held annually on April 29, the festival brings the Edo period to life with a grand Daimyo procession—recreating the historic travels of feudal lords—and various traditional performances that showcase the heritage of the Iwakuni clan.   • From JR Shin-Iwakuni Station: Approximately 15 minutes by bus, get off at "Kintaikyo" stop.
  • From JR Iwakuni Station: Approximately 20 minutes by bus, get off at "Kintaikyo" stop.

  • From Sanyo Expressway Iwakuni IC: Approximately 10 minutes by car.
  • Parking (Cars): Approx. 1,000 spaces (300 JPY per day).
  • Parking (Large Buses): Approx. 20 spaces (1,000 JPY per day).

Travel Tips

Significant traffic restrictions will be in place around the Kintaikyo Bridge area on the day of the event. If you are traveling by car, we highly recommend checking your route in advance or using public transportation (JR and buses) to avoid delays. To get the best view of the Daimyo procession and performances, it is best to arrive at the venue early.
