Kanoya Natsu Matsuri is a traditional summer festival held in Kanoya City, Kagoshima Prefecture. The 2026 schedule includes a pre-festival on July 31 and the main festival (Grand Dance & Fireworks) on August 1. The event features approximately 3,000 dancers parading through the streets to the rhythm of Hannya-bushi music. The highlight of the main festival is a unique 'distributed fireworks' display, where fireworks are launched simultaneously from three different locations across the city center.
