Discover the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Takasaki through this special half-day program. This event combines a guided trek through the scenic Mount Kannonya with a creative workshop where you can paint your own iconic Takasaki 'Maneki Neko' (Beckoning Cat).

Highlights & Activities

This is an immersive, hands-on experience that goes far beyond a simple walk in the woods.

• *Mount Kannonya Trekking**: Walk a scenic approximately 3km route (about 60 minutes). A professional guide will accompany you, sharing fascinating stories about the history and culture of Mount Kannonya to deepen your understanding of the local landscape.
• *Maneki Neko Painting Experience**: Create your own one-of-a-kind Takasaki Maneki Neko. Using the famous symbol of Takasaki, you can design and paint your own lucky cat to take home as a cherished souvenir of your trip.

• *Meeting Point**: Jigan-in Temple (2710 Isharacho, Takasaki, Gunma)

Venue & Access

The meeting point and workshop venue is the historic Jigan-in Temple.

Parking is available at the Kannon-yama No. 2 Parking Lot (Free). We recommend checking public transport routes in advance.

As this event involves walking through nature, comfortable clothing is required. Please bring rain gear in case of unexpected weather changes during the trek.
