Event Overview

The Irago Fireworks Cruise is a special event held as a pre-event celebration for the Triathlon Irago competition. Departing from Toba Port in Mie Prefecture, you will board the "Chitamaru," a massive 2,331-ton ferry, to witness a breathtaking fireworks display. Watching the lights from the open sea offers an extraordinary, immersive experience unlike any other.

Highlights & How to Enjoy

The main draw of this event is the powerful fireworks display viewed directly from the ferry deck. Beyond the fireworks, the cruise features live street performances (daidogei) to keep you entertained during the journey. The ticket includes a special Makunouchi bento box and tea, making this a truly luxurious way to enjoy a beautiful night on the water.

Schedule

The event will take place on September 5, 2026. The schedule is as follows:

  • 17:40: Reception & Boarding begins
  • 18:00: Departure from Toba Port
  • 19:00: Arrival at Irago Port
  • Around 19:20: Fireworks display (approx. 20 minutes)
  • 19:50: Departure from Irago Port
  • 20:00–20:30: Street performance (Daidogei)
  • 20:50: Return to Toba Port

The boarding location is the Isewan Ferry Toba Pier.

  • Parking: 500 JPY per car (First-come, first-served; arriving after 16:30 is recommended)

Important Information for Participants

This is a reservation-only event limited to the first 300 guests. Tickets must be purchased through "Ticket Pia." You can also purchase them at Seven-Eleven stores. Please ensure you have your ticket ready when boarding. All seats are non-reserved (open seating).

What to Bring, Clothing & Etiquette

  • *What to bring**: You must bring your physical ticket (purchased via Ticket Pia). No refunds are provided for lost tickets.
  • *Clothing**: Since you will be on the ocean, we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap to protect against the sea breeze and evening temperature drops.
  • *Etiquette**: Smoking is prohibited in all areas except designated smoking sections. Bringing outside food or drinks onto the ship is not allowed. Please do not dispose of any trash into the sea.
  • *Reservations**: Advance booking via Ticket Pia is required. Generally, no cancellations are allowed.
  • *Weather**: In the event of severe weather, the cruise may be canceled. Decisions regarding cancellation will be announced on the official website by 9:00 AM on the day of the event.
