"Ikimono Sumashii School" is an educational program held at Kobe Suma Sea World where participants can dive deep into the world of marine life. Focusing on popular animals like dolphins and sharks, children can enjoy learning about their ecology and characteristics through lectures by professional keepers. This is an experiential learning event designed specifically for elementary school students (Grades 1–6).
Highlights & Activities
The program offers a unique opportunity to observe real marine life and gain specialized knowledge. Key activities include:
*Dolphin Observation**: Watch a newborn bottlenose dolphin up close while listening to explanations from a professional dolphin trainer.
*Shark Learning**: Learn about the movements and characteristics of various sharks—from those swimming in the water to those resting on the seabed—through specimens and expert commentary.
*Original Hand Fan Making**: To wrap up the session, participants will engage in a craft activity to create their own original hand fan (uchiwa) decorated with drawings of the marine life they learned about.
