Hagi Matsuri is a seasonal event to enjoy the beautiful scenery at Kosho-ji Temple in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto. Kosho-ji is a temple of the Ji Sect, founded by the priest Ichijin. While the inner sanctuary is generally closed to the public, the temple is famous as a spiritual site for bush clover (Hagi). In late September, the landscape is transformed by a sea of red and white bush clover blooming along the stone walls.
The main attraction is the vibrant display of red and white bush clover blooming along the temple's earthen walls. This seasonal scenery offers a quintessential early autumn experience in Kyoto, allowing visitors to enjoy the colors of nature within the serene atmosphere of a historic temple.
