Tsukiji-sai is a vital monthly ritual held on the 15th of every month at Kehi Jingu, the guardian shrine of the Hokuriku region located in Tsuruga, Fukui. Kehi Jingu is a historic site designated as part of the 'Oku-no-Hosomichi Scenic Beauty' and has long been cherished by the local community.   • Approximately 10 minutes from the Tsuruga IC on the Hokuriku Expressway.
  • Free parking is available for about 100 cars.

No advanced reservation is required to attend the Tsukiji-sai; you may enter the shrine grounds directly. Observing the rituals and exploring the grounds offers a deep understanding of traditional Japanese ceremonies. The shrine also features various spiritual power spots, such as the 'Chomei-sui' spring, perfect for refreshing your mind and body.

Clothing & Items

  • The shrine grounds are spacious; comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.
  • Please dress appropriately for the season.

Prayers & Talismans (O-mamori/Goshuin)

  • Talismans and Goshuin stamps are available from 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM.
  • Individual prayers (offered as Hatsuo-ryo) start from 6,000 JPY. Please prepare your offering in a traditional 'Noshi' envelope.
  • While no reservation is needed, the shrine may be crowded during New Year or major festivals, so please plan accordingly.
