The Summer Special Exhibition Commemorative Event is a unique walking program themed around the historical landscapes of Hida Takayama. Set around the Hida Takayama Machi-no-Museum, participants will use maps and vintage photographs to explore the connection between the scenery of the past and the present day. It offers an intellectual and immersive way to understand the local history.

The main draw of this event is the sense of discovery. Rather than just sightseeing, you will engage in a 'historical search' by using provided maps and old photos to find the 'hidden past' within the modern streets. It is a rare opportunity to experience the historical context of Hcia Takayama through all your senses while walking through the town.
