Experience "Summer Melodies: Wind Chime Display," a seasonal event held at the Chofu Mori Estate in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture. This historic site features a grand samurai-style residence completed in 1903. As you wander through the main house and corridors, the refreshing sounds of wind chimes will fill the air, offering a sensory journey into the heart of a traditional Japanese summer.
The magic of this event lies in the harmony between the delicate chime sounds and the breathtaking scenery of the Japanese garden. The contrast between the heavy, historic architecture of the samurai estate and the light, rhythmic tinkling of the wind chimes creates a truly meditative atmosphere. While strolling through the meticulously manicured gardens and seasonal flora, you can enjoy a moment of profound tranquility. To deepen your experience, staff-led guide tours are available to share the rich history of the estate.
The event is held on July 11.
The event takes place at the Chofu Mori Estate (Main House and Corridors).
