"Sak原ara DonDon Matsuri" is a community-driven summer festival held to energize the Sak原ara area in Misaki, Okayama. The biggest highlight is the spectacular fireworks display that paints the night sky. This event brings people together to celebrate local bonds and enjoy the traditional Japanese summer atmosphere amidst the beautiful nature of Misaki.
The most anticipated moment is the fireworks display starting at 20:30. The vibrant colors blooming in the dark sky offer a breathtaking experience. The area around the Sak原ara General Cultural Center will be filled with festive energy, offering a perfect chance to experience the lively spirit of a Japanese summer alongside locals. It is an event enjoyable for everyone, from families to tourists.

Location: Misaki Town Sak原ara General Cultural Center Parking Lot (美咲町柵原総合文化センター前駐車場)
Perfect for a scenic drive: approximately 20 minutes from the Tsuyama IC on the Chugoku Expressway.
You can access the venue via bus from JR Tsuyama Station. Take the bus bound for "Koshita (Sak原ara direction)" and get off at the "Showabashi" stop (approx. 25-minute ride). The venue is about a 3-minute walk from the stop.
To enjoy the fireworks in the best possible view, we recommend arriving early to secure a spot near the venue. Crowds are expected just before the 20:30 start. As it is a night event, please be prepared for changes in temperature or insects.
This festival is run by local residents. Please be mindful of noise levels and ensure you take all trash home or dispose of it in designated areas.
