Event Overview

The Fukuroda Falls Light-up (also known as Daigo Light) is a magical illumination event held at one of Japan's three most famous waterfalls, located in Daigo Town, Ibaraki Prefecture. The majestic 120-meter high, 73-meter wide waterfall takes on a mystical, completely different character under the night lights compared to its daytime appearance.

The venue features a seasonal "Light Tunnel" that leads visitors toward the falls, creating a sensory journey through light and nature. This is a limited-time experience where nature and light blend seamlessly.

Highlights & How to Enjoy

The main attraction is the sight of the illuminated Fukroda Falls. The dynamic flow of water, highlighted by the lights, offers a truly moving experience. The "Viewing Tunnel" leading to the falls features seasonal themes; for example, the light displays transition from autumn colors to festive Christmas colors in winter, making you feel as if you've entered another world. The tunnel also features monuments symbolizing a "Sacred Site for Lovers," making it a romantic destination for couples.
