The Toro Nagashi and Grand Fireworks Display is a historic summer event held every August 16th at the Municipal Matsubara Beach in Tsuruga, Fukui Prefecture. Originally established in 1950 to honor the souls of the fallen, this festival—often simply called the Tsuruga Fireworks Festival—has become a beloved summer tradition that draws visitors from across the country.
