Set against the scenic backdrop of the Tone Riverbed (Sakai Riverside Park) in Sakai Town, Ibaraki Prefecture, this historic fireworks festival is a true spectacle. The display features an immense volume of approximately 30,000 fireworks, blending traditional Japanese beauty with cutting-edge pyrotechnic technology. The highlight of the event is the competitive showcase by Japan's "Four Great Fireworks Masters," offering a rare opportunity to witness the pinnacle of firework artistry.
The main attraction is the spectacular performance by the four legendary masters: Yamasaki Fireworks, Nomura Fireworks, Beniya Aoki Fireworks, and Marugo. Each artisan brings a unique style and technique, painting the night sky with vibrant colors and profound resonance. For about 120 minutes, the dramatic interplay of light and sound will create an unforgettable, immersive experience for all spectators.

The venue is approximately 3.5 km from the Sakai-Koga IC on the Ken-O Expressway. Expect extreme traffic congestion; it is common for vehicles to move only 100m per hour. Roads become heavily crowded after 14:00, so arriving early is highly recommended.
There are no train stations in the immediate vicinity of the venue. It is highly recommended to use the special-service shuttle buses operating from JR Koga Station or Tobu Railway Minami-Kurihashi Station. Please check the latest bus schedules and routes in advance as they are subject to change.
The area around the venue becomes extremely crowded. If you are traveling by car, please plan for significant delays, as heavy congestion typically begins after 15:00. Additionally, ensure you have the correct location: there are multiple venues in the area (Sakai, Nodasankaku, and Goka). Please double-check your destination to avoid going to the wrong site.
