There are two main highlights to the Momohasia Matsuri. First is the 'Bugaku' dance performed after the main ceremony. Second is the 'Momohana Matsuri Go-shin Noh,' held on the Noh stage. Venue & Access

The primary venue is Itsukushima Jinja. Bugaku is performed following the shrine's main ceremony, while the Go-shin Noh takes place on the shrine's Noh stage.

To access Miyajima, take a JR train or streetcar from Hiroshima city to Miyajimaguchi Station, then take a ferry to the island. The JR West Miyajima Ferry offers a route passing through the Great Torii Gate, which is ideal for sightseeing. Matsudai Kisen also operates ferries; please choose based on your preference and current congestion.

Tips for Visitors

To fully immerse yourself in the experience, try to focus not just on the movements, but also on the subtle sounds, the colors of the costumes, and the quiet atmosphere of the shrine. Additionally, the scenery of Miyajima changes significantly with the tides. Spring in Miyajima can be breezy, and temperatures often drop in the evening. We recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap for comfort.
