The Showa Kinen Koen Fireworks Festival is a historic summer event that began in 1954. With over 60 years of history, it is a beloved tradition in the Tachikawa area. The display features a diverse range of spectacular fireworks, including the massive 'Isshaku-goju-sun' shells and dazzling wide starmines that paint the Tachikawa night sky in vibrant colors.
The main attraction is the sheer scale of the display, which fills the entire sky. The massive shells and wide starmines are designed to overwhelm the senses with their beauty and power. You can fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a classic Japanese summer within the expansive, open-air setting of Showa Kinen Park.
The event is scheduled for July 31, 2027.
The fireworks are expected to launch from 19:15 to 20:15.
The main viewing area is located at "Minna no Harappa" within Showa Kinen Park.
Access to the venue requires walking from the various gates of Showa Kinen Park. Because of traffic restrictions on surrounding roads, the use of public transportation (such as JR Tachikawa Station or Nishitachikawa Station) is highly recommended. Parking is extremely limited, so please check local traffic maps in advance.
To manage crowds and ensure a smooth experience, the main viewing area (Minna no Harappa and its surroundings) is a designated paid area. To enter, you must purchase a "Fireworks Viewing Area Ticket" or a "Special Sponsor Ticket" in advance and wear the required wristband on the day of the event.
If you do not have a ticket, please consider viewing the fireworks from outside the designated area. Please note that tickets are non-refundable after purchase.
