Every year on November 3rd, Kasuga Taisha hosts the Meiji Festival and the Bunka no Hi Bugaku Performance. The Meiji Festival is a significant event held to honor the achievements of the 122nd Emperor Meiji and to pray for the prosperity of the nation. Alongside this, the Bunka no Hi (Culture Day) Bugaku Performance aims to deepen public understanding and appreciation of Gagaku (ancient imperial court music). The highlight is the performance of traditional music and dance on the beautiful 'Floating Stage' set upon the pond of the Manyo Botanical Garden.
