The Koga Chochin-sao Momi Matsuri is a high-energy festival that showcases the deep history and traditions of Koga. The event is held at a special venue near the West Exit of Koga Station.

The venue is within easy walking distance from Koga Station, making access very smooth and straightforward.

Tips for Participation

For those who want to experience the festival's excitement up close and in comfort, the premium viewing seats are highly recommended. These seats offer a front-row view of the lantern collisions and feature heated Kotatsu tables to keep you warm during the winter night. Please note that Kotatsu seats are designed for 4 people, so you may be seated with others. Additionally, please be aware that children of preschool age are not permitted to enter the viewing area.

What to Bring & Etiquette

As this is an outdoor event held on a winter night, staying warm is essential. Even with the heated seating, you may feel the cold air. Please bring a heavy coat, gloves, and heat packs (kairo). Please pay attention to the following regarding payments and bookings:

• *Payment**: Premium seat reservations must be paid via cash at the Koga Tourism Association office or via bank transfer. Bank transfers may incur additional fees.
• *Reservations**: Premium seats require advance booking. Please contact the Tourism Association for details.
