Hanamatsuri is a profound traditional performing art with over 700 years of history in Toyone Village. It is officially designated as a National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property. This sacred ritual symbolizes the 'rebirth of life' and has been meticulously preserved by the local community. While different settlements in Toyone Village have their own unique styles, the Shimokurogawa district hosts an intense, overnight ritual at the Honobono Kaikan center.
