The Hamasaka Furusato Summer Festival Fireworks Display is a major local summer event held in the Hamasaka area of Shinonsen, Hyogo Prefecture. With approximately 3,000 fireworks launched into the air, the spectacle creates a magical scene where the summer night sky and the beautiful sea become one. The absolute highlight of this event is the "Maritime Star Mine." Because the fireworks are launched near the breakwaters of Hamasaka Port, the light reflects off the water's surface, creating an overwhelming sense of immersion as if the sea itself is glowing. The 30-round sequence of large-caliber shells (Shaku-dama) is particularly powerful, with a thunderous sound and visual impact that brings the crowd to a fever pitch. The fast-paced "Hayauchi" fireworks also keep the excitement high with a continuous, rhythmic display.
