Tips for Visitors

To truly appreciate the atmosphere, try to arrive at least 30 minutes before the Mikoshi departure. The energy shifts significantly as the procession moves from the shrine into the streets.

Etiquette

As this is a sacred Shinto ritual, please maintain a respectful volume when near the procession. Avoid obstructing the path of the shrine bearers, as their movements are part of a precise spiritual choreography.

Allow at least 3 to 4 hours if you wish to observe both the midday departure and the atmospheric evening return.
