Event Overview

ENLIGHTENMENT JAPAN is a cutting-edge immersive spectacle that utilizes the grand architecture of the Osaka City Museum of Art. The walls, ceiling, and pillars of the Central Hall serve as a 360-degree screen, surrounding you with a world of light and sound. This acclaimed production, which has been celebrated in over 90 cities worldwide, finally arrives in Osaka.

Highlights & How to Enjoy

The main highlight is the seamless fusion of custom-made visuals designed to harmonize with the architectural space and the classical music of Vivaldi's 'The Four Seasons'. The 30-minute program consists of six parts, creating a sensation as if the space itself is breathing. For a truly luxurious experience, you can lean back on the provided beanbag cushions to deeply immerse yourself in the art falling from above and all around you. Please note that photography and video recording are permitted during the performance.

The first phase of performances will run from October 10, 2026 (Sat) to November 29, 2026 (Sun).

  • 1st Show: 17:45–18:15 (Doors open 17:30)
  • 2nd Show: 18:30–19:00 (Doors open 18:15)
  • 3rd Show: 19:15–19:45 (Doors open 19:00)
  • 4th Show: 20:00–20:30 (Doors open 19:45)
  • 5th Show: 20:45–21:15 (Doors open 20:30)

Venue & Access

The venue is the historic Central Hall (1F) of the Osaka City Museum of Art, a registered tangible cultural property of Japan.

Important Information

This event requires a time-specific electronic ticket purchased in advance. Tickets are NOT sold at the museum's ticket counter on the day of the event, so please ensure you secure your tickets online beforehand. Re-entry to the venue is not permitted once you have entered.

What to Bring & Etiquette

Due to the nature of the production, the venue will be dark with intense light and loud music. If traveling with small children, please check the performance details in advance. While preschool-aged children may enter for free when accompanied by a guardian, please note that they may be asked to leave if the environment is too difficult for them to experience comfortably, as noted on the official website.
