Eniwa Environment & Energy Exhibition

7 min read

Event Overview

The Eniwa Environment & Energy Exhibition is an interactive event held at 'Hanaful,' a beautiful floral hub in Eniwa, Hokkaido. The goal is to move beyond passive learning and allow visitors to actually see, touch, and experience environmental issues. The program features diverse activities such as workshops using ocean plastic and upcycled clothing, games, and quiz rallies designed to engage both children and adults. Additionally, the 'Eniwa Consumer Life Exhibition' will be held on the same day, offering a multi-faceted look at how our daily lives connect to the environment.

Highlights & Activities

The biggest draw of this event is the combination of creative workshops and educational games. For example, the 'Charm Making' workshop—using materials like ocean plastic and upcycled T-shirts—provides a wonderful way to build environmental awareness through creativity. The 'Quiz Rally' is also highly recommended for families with children, as it encourages kids to explore the venue while testing their knowledge. Furthermore, the 'Lilia' family garden will be open to the public for free, providing a relaxing space to enjoy nature. You can also see firsthand the latest sustainability efforts through various corporate exhibitions.

Schedule

The event takes place on September 6, from 10:00 to 15:00. Note that the 'Eniwa Industrial Festival' will be held at the same venue (Hanaful) on the previous day, September 5. This allows you to enjoy both environmental learning and local industrial charm over the weekend. Please be aware that many workshops, the quiz rally, and access to the Lilia garden are subject to capacity limits or participant quotas, so arriving early is highly recommended.

Venue & Access

The venue is 'Hanaful' (Eniwa City Flower Hub), located in the center of Eniwa, Hokkaido. Activities will primarily take place around the Central Lawn and the Center House. Address: 828-3 Nanishimatsu, Eniwa, Hokkaido. If you are driving, free parking is available on the Hanaful Center House side. If you are using public transportation, please check the access routes from the nearest station before your visit.

Tips for Visitors

To make the most of your experience, please keep an eye on the capacity for hands-on activities. Workshops like charm-making and the quiz rally have limited spots and may reach capacity quickly. We recommend checking the status of the booths immediately upon arrival. To deepen the learning experience, you might want to discuss environmental themes with your children before arriving so they can engage more deeply with the exhibits.

What to Bring & Dress Code

As many activities take place on the outdoor lawn, please wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor movement and changing weather. Depending on the workshop, your hands or clothes may get slightly dirty, so bringing an apron or wearing clothes that are okay to get messy is a good idea. Please check the official website for the latest updates, as event details may change on the day.
