To celebrate the successful reprint of the beloved picture book 'Papuwa-kun,' author Ami Shibata is returning to Atagawa Banana Crocodile Garden! This special collaboration event follows the highly popular July visit and serves as the grand finale of our series. The theme is "The World of Bananas: Things You Know but Don't Truly Know." From kids to adults, everyone can enjoy learning the secrets of banana cultivation, varieties, and deliciousness through the unique lens of the Atagawa Banana Crocodile Garden.

Highlights & How to Enjoy

The main attraction is the special talk event featuring author Ami Shibata. The garden's director and staff from the banana greenhouse will also join the stage to share fascinating trivia about bananas. During the event, guests can enjoy a toast with 'PAPUWA' collaboration drinks, such as beer or banana juice made with locally grown bananas. After the talk, a signing session with Ms. Shibata will be held, offering a rare opportunity for fans to meet the creator.

The event takes place on September 26, 2026 (Saturday). The schedule is as follows:

• *14:00—**: Numbered tickets (numbered entry tickets) will be distributed at the Main Crocodile Garden Shop (Available until capacity is reached).
• *15:15—**: Doors open (Collaboration drinks can be ordered).
• *15:30—**: Toast and Talk Event begins.
• *Approx. 16:15**: Talk event ends.
• *After the event**: Signing session with Ami Shibata (Available until capacity is reached).

The venue is the 'Bun-en Fruit Parlor' located within Atagawa Banana Crocodile Garden. The garden is situated in the scenic Atagawa area, surrounded by hot springs and the sea, making it a perfect stop during your sightseeing trip.

This event operates on a numbered ticket system. Tickets will be distributed starting at 14:00 at the Main Crocodile Garden Shop. If you wish to participate, we highly recommend arriving early.
