Guide
Chiba Zoological Park invites you to experience the beauty of autumn through our special Acorn Events. Using the abundant acorns found throughout the park, these programs offer a wonderful way for children to develop their creativity through hands-on crafting and playful games. It is a perfect opportunity to connect with nature and feel the changing seasons.
The highlight of these events is the immersive, hands-on experience using natural materials found right in the park. In November, guests can participate in the "Acorn Rolling: What is it?" craft workshop, where children can touch and feel the different shapes and textures of acorns to create their own unique masterpieces. In December, the excitement continues with an acorn-themed target game, allowing visitors to stay active and have fun in the great outdoors. Rather than just observing, these activities encourage guests to engage directly with nature for a much deeper and more memorable zoo visit.
Activities vary depending on the date. Please check the specific schedule below:
The events take place within Chiba Zoological Park. Located in a lush, natural environment in Chiba Prefecture, the park offers a wonderful way to enjoy seasonal nature alongside animal watching. We recommend planning your travel in advance to account for local traffic and transport.
Both the crafting workshops and the target games are held with a limited number of participants. For the craft workshops, numbered tickets (seiriken) may be distributed; it is highly recommended to check the distribution time and location in advance to ensure smooth participation. Please note that event details may change or be canceled due to weather conditions or venue circumstances. Always check the official website for the latest updates.
As these activities take place in a natural outdoor setting, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little dirty. Please check the official website for the most up-to-date information regarding event rules and details.
