Located in the heart of Kochi City, the 52nd Saturday Night Market is a cherished summer tradition held across the Obiyamachi and Kyo-machi/Shin-Kyobashi shopping districts. The streets transform into a lively gathering place where you can immerse yourself in the local food culture and the energetic atmosphere of a Japanese summer night.
The main draw of this event is the wide variety of food stalls lining the streets. You can enjoy delicious 'B-grade gourmet' snacks like beef skewers and yakisoba while strolling through the market. Additionally, traditional Japanese game stalls, such as goldfish scooping (kingyo-sukui) and yo-yo fishing, offer fun experiences for visitors of all ages.
Near the north entrance of Chuo Park, special entertainment may also take place on certain dates. For example, you might encounter energetic activities like 'Sports Max Jumping MAX' to enjoy a more active experience.
