Cosmel in Awaji Yumebutai
6 min readEvent Overview
Cosmel in Awaji Yumebutai is an exclusive, capacity-controlled cosplay photography and social event held at Awaji Yumebutai in Hyogo Prefecture. The venue is famous for its seamless blend of nature and architecture, designed by the renowned architect Tadao Ando. This event requires advanced reservations; tickets must be purchased in advance for cosplayers, photographers, and any companions using the changing rooms or luggage storage. Because the number of participants is limited, it offers a high-quality, uncrowded environment for photography.
Highlights
The main draw is the breathtaking location. From the scenic 100-Step Garden and the white concrete structures of the Circular Forum to the ocean-view terraces, there are endless spots for photography. The contrast between modern architecture and the changing natural scenery creates a perfect backdrop for character-driven photography. You can also explore nearby attractions like the Awaji Green Kan or the Akashi Kaikyo National Government Park.
