Event Overview

Cosmel @ Awaji Yumebutai is an exclusive, capacity-limited cosplay event held at the magnificent 'Awaji Yumebutai,' a site designed by the world-renowned architect Tadao Ando. This event offers a unique opportunity for cosplayers and photographers to interact and capture high-quality photos amidst a landscape where grand architecture and nature harmonize perfectly. To ensure a calm and professional environment, this event operates on a strict pre-registration basis with limited capacity.

The greatest draw is the breathtaking location. From the geometric beauty of the 'Circular Forum' to the terraced greenery of the 'Hyakudan-en' and the scenic ocean views from the observation terraces, there are countless stunning spots to explore. The surrounding facilities, such as the Awaji Green House (greenhouse) and the nearby Awaji Island National Government Park, also serve as spectacular backdrops. Whether you are chasing the perfect shot against sophisticated modern architecture or the changing colors of nature, this is a premier destination for creators.

Schedule

The event takes place on September 20th. Please follow the schedule below:

  • 10:30: Registration begins
  • 16:30: Photography ends
  • 17:00: Changing rooms close / Event ends

Venue & Access

The venue is 'Awaji Yumebutai' located in Awaji City, Hyogo Prefecture.

By Car

There is a paid parking garage located in the facility basement (700 JPY per entry, valid until 24:00). The parking area has a direct connection to the registration desk (Observation Terrace 1F).

By Bus

If using a highway bus, please get off at the 'Hotel Grand Nikko Mae' stop. From there, it is approximately a 4-minute walk along the building to the registration desk at the Observation Terrace 1F.

Participation Details

We offer various participation styles to suit your needs, including 'Photographer' plans and 'No-Changing' plans for those who do not require a dressing room. If you plan to use the changing rooms, please ensure you use only the designated areas. As the venue is a public space, please remain mindful of other visitors and maintain proper etiquette at all times.

Items, Attire & Etiquette

Items & Clothing

  • *Costumes**: All genres are welcome. However, extremely revealing outfits, costumes that significantly detract from the character's essence, or dangerous items (real weapons, firearms, etc.) are strictly prohibited.
  • *Props**: Weapons and props must be kept in a bag or case when not being photographed. There is a size limit (approx. 150cm x 60cm).
  • *Changing**: Please use the designated changing rooms. Changing in public restrooms is strictly prohibited.

Payment & Reservations

  • *Payment**: Payments on the day are primarily handled in cash. Please prepare the exact amount to avoid issues with change.
  • *Reservation**: This is a strictly pre-registration event. No same-day tickets will be sold.
  • *Language Support**: Please follow all rules and etiquette as outlined on the official website.
