This tour is part of a larger cultural journey through 15 museums across the Eastern, Central, and Western regions of Kochi Prefecture. It is designed to go beyond a simple visit, providing an intellectually stimulating experience that connects you deeply with the functions of Japanese history and culture.

The biggest draw is the chance to explore the museum's 'backstage' areas. You will learn how precious historical materials are protected and managed behind the scenes of the exhibition rooms.

In conjunction with the special "Tosa-related Swords" exhibition, the tour includes a specialized lecture. In addition to learning about the proper handling of Japanese swords from an expert, participants can also experience using a practice sword (replica). This allows you to deepen your understanding of traditional Japanese weaponry through sensory learning. Participation Details

This tour is intended for participants aged junior high school students and older. As it is a small-group session limited to 15 people per session, the experience is highly intimate and detailed. Pre-registration via telephone is required to participate.

Due to the layout and narrow pathways within the exhibition areas, there are restrictions on companions. For junior high and high school students, one companion is allowed per participant; however, for all other age groups, only the registered participant may enter. As a special benefit, each participant will receive one original museum card from the facility.
