The Ashidagawa Fireworks Display is a traditional summer event held at the Ashida River in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. On the night of August 15, 2026, approximately 16,000 fireworks will light up the sky around the upstream area of the Ashida River Bridge. The display features a dynamic combination of fireworks and the river, including a spectacular water-surface star mine that creates a brilliant, synchronized light show over the water.
The main highlight is the water-surface star mine. The sight of lights reflecting on the river surface while fireworks soar high into the sky offers an incredibly immersive experience. With about 16,000 shells launched, the sheer scale and intensity are perfect for a thrilling summer night. The atmosphere along the riverbank captures the quintessential essence of a Japanese summer.

We recommend checking information in advance. For guests with disabilities or mobility challenges, a "Rose Mind Area" is available. This area is located adjacent to the multipurpose toilets and special parking at the Water Sports Center. Pre-registration is required via postcard between June 8 and June 30, 2026. If applications exceed capacity, a lottery will be held.
