'Let's Make a Glowing Stone,' held at the Art Lab within the Nagano Prefectural Art Museum, is a special workshop led by musical instrument interface researcher Junichi Kanebako and Keisuke Shuto. The goal is for participants to create their own version of the exhibited work, 'the blink stone.' Completed works may be added to the museum's collection (Note: You cannot take the work home).
This project focuses on 'inclusive' expression, experiencing art through diverse senses such as touch and vibration, rather than just sight and hearing. It offers a unique opportunity to feel the texture of light and sound through the process of creation.
The main highlight is the process of building 'the blink stone' with your own hands. You will experience a new form of sensory expression based on research into 'co-play instruments' that convert light and sound into vibration. This transforms the museum experience from passive viewing to active co-creation.
This is a continuous two-day program. To fully understand the process from creation to completion and exhibition, participation on both days is required.
The workshop is held at the Art Lab, located on the 2nd floor of the Main Building of the Nagano Prefectural Art Museum.

This is a high-level art experience based on the research of how light and sound are perceived. Because the finished work remains at the museum as part of the exhibition, please join with the mindset of co-creating with the artist.
