'Make and Perform with Little Caterpillar' at Yokohama Doll Museum is an interactive event where you can experience the multifaceted joy of puppet theater. Enjoy a variety of performances by amateur puppet troupes and enjoy programs that showcase the warmth of handmade crafts.
A key feature of this event is the interactive element, going beyond just watching a show. For example, the 'Interaction Corner' in the theater lobby allows visitors to touch and interact with the puppets.
The performances are diverse and engaging. You can enjoy a wide range of shows, from adorable stories featuring dancing caterpillars and animals to tales based on Korean folklore and Aesop's Fables. The program also includes short shows using panel theaters and balloon puppetry, allowing you to experience the unique storytelling styles of various troupes.
The event takes place on August 18, 2026. Performances are divided into morning and afternoon sessions.

The venue is the Akai Kutsu Theater on the 4th floor of Yokohama Doll Museum. It is conveniently located for easy inclusion in your Yokohama sightseeing itinerary.
Some programs are offered with free admission to the performance (please note that the standard Yokohama Doll Museum admission fee still applies). Each session has a capacity of 120 people and is handled on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend checking the registration method in advance to ensure a smooth experience for your preferred session.
